IAN BALL, CEO & PRESIDENT
Prior to joining Abitibi Royalties as President (2014) and CEO (2015), Mr. Ball worked 10.5 years, at Goldcorp and then McEwen Mining. He served as McEwen Mining’s president where he was responsible for overseeing production, construction and exploration activities throughout North and South America. He was responsible for discovering McEwen Mining’s El Gallo II project, scheduled to become one of the 15 largest silver mines in the world, building the El Gallo I gold mine (in addition to discovering several of the satellite deposits at that mine), in Mexico.
RICO DE VEGA, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Mr. De Vega is a CPA, CA (Ontario), CPA (Illinois) with over 20 years of financial management and reporting experience. Mr. De Vega was most recently Senior Manager, Finance and Investor Relations with First Quantum Minerals Limited and previously held Controller roles at various gold mining companies listed on the TSX with producing mines, exploration and development projects in Central and South America.
DANIEL POISSON, CORPORATE SECRETARY
Mr. Poisson has been a Chartered Accountant in Québec since December 1982. From December 2007 to March 2009, he served as the Corporate Controller and/or the Interim Chief Financial Officer of Canadian Royalties, a company now majority-owned by Jilin Jien Nickel Industry Company of China, but was previously a public company that traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange. From January 2002 to December 2007, Mr. Poisson was Controller for Matheson Valves & Fittings, a valves and fitting supply company with offices in Montréal and Québec City, Québec, and in Oakville and Sarnia, Ontario. He was Controller for PYA Solutions in Montréal, a partnership providing software development, systems integrations and management consulting services, from September 2001 to January 2002, prior to which he was Vice President Finances and Administration for RSB Video / L&M Optical Disc. Mr. Poisson has been a self-employed senior advisor since April 2008.
